Readers’ Travel Awards 2008
Condé Nast Traveller, an American magazine specializing in luxury travel and reviews of high-priced hotels, products, and services has asked its readers to vote for their favourite countries, cities and islands, hotels and spas, airlines and cruise lines, tour operators and villa-rental companies from which the former has produced the Readers’ Travel Awards 2008.
According to Condé Nast Traveller’s ‘best of the best’ Top 100, Six Senses Hideaway on the Thailand island of Koh Samui walked away with the award for the best hotel in Asia & The Indian Subcontinent. Based on this survey, Mauritius has been rated 3rd, with a satisfaction score line of 91.88 for the readers’ favourite island. The surveyor has also mentioned the additional offers (i.e diving, fishing, sightseeing, shopping and lots of exploring) that Mauritius has to offer in addition to its traditional sea, sun and sand. Moreover, the high-end magazine has also classified Paradise Cove Hotel, Dinarobin, Le Paradis Hotel and Le Prince Maurice of Mauritius as some of the best five-star beach resort hotels in the world.
